Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, a 199-bed acute care hospital, was the first hospital in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast to perform open-heart surgery and has since remained one of the area’s leading heart hospitals providing comprehensive cardiac care. It also offers orthopaedics, diagnostic imaging, general surgery, outpatient surgery and more. Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center recently opened its 13.6 million dollar expanded emergency department, which added an additional 9,537 square feet. The expanded emergency room has 20 private rooms, eight private dedicated chest pain rooms and bedside check in.
