Boca Raton, Fla. – December 3, 2020 – Leandro J. Feo, MD, FACS, FASCRS, a colorectal and general surgeon dedicated to providing the community with comprehensive treatment and care for colorectal cancer, has opened an office with Palm Beach Health Network Physician Groups (PBHNPG) in Boca Raton. Dr. Feo specializes in minimally-invasive and robotic surgery, colorectal oncology, diverticulitis, fecal incontinence, anorectal disease and general surgery. Dr. Feo is certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the American Board of General Surgery. He is on-staff at Delray Medical Center.

Prior to joining PBHNPG, Dr. Feo worked as a colorectal surgeon at South Palm Beach Surgical Associates in Boca Raton as well as Delray Medical Center. His past experience also includes as attending physician in colorectal surgery at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH, as well as general practitioner for Corposuvida Health Company in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and Egidio Montesinos Hospital in Barquisimeto, Venezuela.

For his education and training, Dr. Feo completed two fellowships, most recently in colorectal surgical oncology from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center located in New York, NY, and previously, in colorectal surgery at the Ferguson Clinic, Michigan State University, Grand Rapids, Mich. Dr. Feo also completed a general surgery residency at the Drexel University College of Medicine and an internship in general surgery at Albert Einstein Medical Center both of which are located in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated medical school from Universidad Centro Occidental Lisandro Alvarado School of Medicine in Barquisimeto, Venezuela.

Dr. Feo’s research on colorectal cancer has been published in peer-reviewed medical publications and medical textbook chapters. In addition, Dr. Feo has presented his colorectal cancer findings at surgical association meetings. Dr. Feo is bilingual in English and Spanish. He has been practicing medicine since 2002.
